*Department*: Operations (Cementing Services)
*Location*: Port- Harcourt
*Reports To*: Lead Operator / Cementing Supervisor
*Salary*: ₦170,000 – ₦200,000 + HMO
Role Summary:
The Graduate trainee will support safe and efficient well cementing operations by assisting with equipment preparation, rig-up/rig-down, cement mixing and pumping, routine maintenance, and site safety activities.
*Key Responsibilities & Requirements*:
• Assist with rig-up and rig-down of cementing equipment at well sites
• Support mixing, pumping, and displacement operations during cementing jobs
• Prepare cement blends, additives, and fluids based on job specifications
• Monitor pumps, gauges, and lines; report abnormalities promptly
• Load and unload bulk cement, chemicals, and tools
• Conduct pre- and post-job equipment inspections and routine maintenance
• Keep equipment, hoses, and tools clean, organized, and job-ready
• Adhere strictly to HSE policies, PPE use, and safety procedures
• Participate in safety meetings, JHAs, and pre-job briefings
• Assist with job data recording, reports, and inventory tracking
• Maintain clear communication with Lead Operator, crew, and rig personnel
• BSc or HND in Engineering or Sciences
• Prior oilfield or heavy equipment experience is an advantage
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
• Physically fit; able to work long hours in remote field locations and harsh conditions
• Strong teamwork, communication, and safety awareness
